This rare (one of two built) vintage racer, showing plenty of patina, was revived to running status just the Thursday night before the show. Despite its recent 40-year slumber, it took second place in the Meadow Brook Historic race at nearby Waterford Hills Raceway held on the Saturday before the Concours. Stoddard-Dayton K’s finished first and second at the Indy 300 (forerunner to the famous 500), and this car may also have competed in the Glidden Tour race in 1907.
