Virtually any Bugatti qualifies as a classic, but even so, some are more classic than others, as this 1937 Type 57S Atalante coupe clearly indicates. There were two of these beautiful coupes on the lawn at Pebble Beach, and a closely-related model — a 57SC Atlantic — was judged best-in-show last year. The 57 range was the last series produced at the Bugatti factory in Molsheim, France, a run of some 800 cars between 1934 and ’39. This Atalante is owned by J. Peter Ministrelli, of Troy, Michigan.
